Milan Expo 2015 - UAE Day Parade
In September 2015 Kinetika was commissioned by EventLab on behalf of the Dubai Expo 2020 to design a celebratory parade to showcase at the United Arab Emirates Day, Milan Expo 2015.
The parade had four main themes celebrating the UAE that Mark translated into a series of designs on flags, banners and silk structures: Desert, Oasis, Marine and Modern Dubai.
Inspiration for the designs were taken from a wide variety of reference imagery that Mark worked closely with the client to agree on and work up into graphic visuals for approval before the production team set about hand painting the final pieces.
Kinetika produced 44 beautiful hand painted silk items for over 50 performers to parade with down the long Expo Avenue in front of over 250,000 spectators!
